It should be relatively easy to adapt this for a
mapping service in countries outside of the UK.
Try this text for GoogleMe! or WikiMe!: bookmarklet

"A bookmarklet is a small JavaScript program stored as a URL within a bookmark in most popular web browsers, or
stored within a hyperlink on a web page. The term is a portmanteau of the terms bookmark and applet (a small
application)" (from Wikipedia).
Try the following
- Click and drag where it says "GoogleMapMe!", "GoogleMe!" or "WikiMe!" below to
your links toolbar or right click and choose "Add to favourites" (You may be prompted with "You are adding a
favorite that may not be safe. Do you want to continue?").
- You will need to enable JavaScript and pop-ups in your browser (and in your google toolbar if you have it
installed) for this to work.
- Highlight the postcode in the webpage (or any webpage), then select GoogleMapMe!" from your
favourites.
- A new window opens with Google Maps centered on the postcode you highlighted.
- or - Highlight some text in a web page and click "GoogleMe!" to google for information on that text. "WikiMe!"
will give Wikipedia information on the selected text.
